LE-6 Ethernet Expander extends the interconnection between transceiversand controllers of any Ethernet local-area network. Replacing fourtwisted pairs of AUI cable with two twisted pairs, the expander simulatesfull AUI cable characteristics.LE-6 Ethernet Expander operates in pairs; one unit interfaces with thetransceiver (LE-6/T) and the other unit with the controller (LE-6/C).The unit at the transceiver side also powers the transceiver.LE-6 supports a 10 MB transmission rate including SQE test ("Heartbeat"),AC/DC coupling, back-to-back frames (minimum frame spacing), and signalcompatibility with all Ethernet standards V1.0, V2.0, and IEEE 802.3.Le-6 does the following:- Allows greater distance between controller and transceiver.
